Arada and Emaar Hospitality Group Open 175-Room Vida Aljada Hotel in Sharjah's Nasaq District

Arada and Emaar Hospitality Group have opened the Vida Aljada hotel, a 175-room five-star lifestyle property located in the Nasaq District of Sharjah's Aljada master community. The opening ceremony was presided over by Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and chairman of Arada's board of directors, on September 3, 2026.

Ahmed Al Khashibi, chief executive officer of Arada, attended the opening alongside Sharjah government officials and representatives from Emaar Hospitality Group. The hotel is operated by Emaar Hospitality Group under the Vida Hotels & Resorts brand and represents the first Emaar Hospitality property to open within the Aljada development.

Room Mix and Amenities

The hotel's 175 keys are distributed across a range of room categories. The inventory includes 129 king-bed rooms, 32 twin rooms, three accessible rooms designed for People of Determination, and 10 suites. The property's flagship accommodation is a 305-square-meter penthouse suite featuring three bedrooms, a private pool, a majlis, a kitchen, a maid's room, and a dedicated lift.

Food and beverage facilities include multiple restaurants and cafés serving international cuisine, with combined seating capacity for approximately 250 guests. Wellness offerings comprise separate men's and women's gyms operating around the clock, massage and treatment rooms, and adult and children's pools equipped with safety systems. The hotel also includes a children's play area with interactive games, meeting rooms, multi-purpose event halls, and breakout lounge spaces designed to accommodate corporate and social functions.

A Four-Building Hospitality and Residential Cluster

The Vida Aljada hotel is the centerpiece of a four-building complex on East Boulevard in the Nasaq District. The broader cluster encompasses the 175-room hotel, 255 Vida-branded residences, and 149 serviced apartments under the Vida brand, bringing the total number of hospitality and residential keys in the immediate development to 579. Arada served as developer for the complex, while Emaar Hospitality Group manages the hotel operations.

The construction contract for the Vida Aljada complex — covering the hotel building and the connected Vida residences and serviced units — was valued at AED 475 million, equivalent to approximately USD 129 million. The Vida Residences Aljada component represents the first branded residence project in Sharjah.

Part of a Broader Emaar Hospitality Presence at Aljada

Vida Aljada is the first of three Emaar Hospitality Group properties planned within the Aljada master community. Two additional hotels — Address Aljada, with approximately 150 rooms, and Rove Aljada, with approximately 300 rooms — are part of the broader hospitality program for the development. Together, the three hotels are projected to contribute more than 625 hotel rooms and 270 serviced residences to Aljada's hospitality inventory.

Aljada is a 24-million-square-foot mixed-use master community situated near Sharjah International Airport, the Sharjah Airport International Free Zone, and University City. The development carries an estimated total value of AED 24 billion and encompasses residential, retail, commercial, and hospitality components across its phased buildout.

Sharjah Hotel Market Context

The Vida Aljada opening arrives as Sharjah's hospitality sector continues to record strong demand. The emirate's hotel sector has reported occupancy of approximately 81 percent in recent periods, with guest volumes rising roughly 18 percent year-on-year. The addition of a five-star lifestyle hotel in the Nasaq District broadens the range of accommodation options available to visitors and supports Sharjah's objective of expanding its tourism infrastructure.

The Nasaq District within Aljada is positioned as a creative and lifestyle hub, incorporating cultural venues, dining, and retail alongside the new hotel and branded residential product.
